Wellll we're in the midst of cancer scare #2. I brought Ming in this past Monday for chest xrays to confirm asthma and lone behold he had a opacity on his left lung. So we did have a CT scan scheduled for Wednesday but the day before I remembered Ming had a full thoracic xray/study when he was in the ER for two nights in December. When they thought possible colon cancer they asked to xray lungs and I approved. So I emailed the IM vet and asked her to recheck the xray from 12/1 and it was indeed normal then. So I questioned if a tumor can grow that quickly. She asked for a second opinion on the radiology consult and they had the whole team review his radiographs. They felt the opacity was most likely a consolidated lung lobe (lung lobe with no air in it due to collapse, infection, etc. and the second most likely thing was a mass (tumor). So I opted to first treat with AB and we are retaking xrays on 10 days. I just can't believe its a tumor. If it is then in my mind it is a fast growing type that I would have to consider if and how I would treat. Fingers crossed the AB dose the trick. Uuugh
