He got his name because as a newborn kitten, he never stopped meowing. He was always "squalling", lol. So he was the squally kitten out of the litter, and the moniker just stuck; he became Squallie.

It's funny, he hasn't been vocal in years, but just the past few months he's gotten vocal again. He now has a really cute, funny meow, kind of rusty and creaky. It's very sweet.
