Okay so that was an unexpected low start to the day. Little miss chicken bean decided I needed a double check with the Accu-Check before shooting a full dose and it was 175 so I figure his real number is somewhere in between.

I am home today so I can check him more during the day. Here's for no bouncing! As I am home for the day is there anything I can do to limit the bounce? More daytime feedings?

Funnily enough I also calculated the + or = variance of 20% and it is OFF. 92 add 20% is 110 and 175 less 20% is 140. I thought they had to be within that 20%. Seems like there's still a BIG difference between 110 and 140.

So why up at +4 today and down at +4 yesterday. Seems to be no rhyme or reason to his numbers.

My guess for today is a bounce from the green, he doesn’t see them enough not to run scared the other direction. Hope he stays blue for you and doesn’t bounce too high. :cool:

It is for the meter itself. It is not for between 2 different meters, unless they are of the same brand.

Not sure I understand. How on earth do you know where he is really at then with such variances as huge as these even at lower numbers?

Would he bounce that quick? He often goes up at +4. I imagine if he bounces it will be into yellows?
 
My stars, Silver sure likes throwing you those random greens at PS. It'll be interesting to see what he's up to late in this cycle. I wonder if you had a low read and if that 9.4 is just his usual food spike.

No. The strip was good. I double checked it.
 
I don't mean a bad strip. I mean a low read and/or carry over. The read could have been the low end of your 20% variance along with some action from his previous shot.

Got it. Sorry, misunderstood what you meant.

He is now at 121 at +8 so I fed him a snack as he normally goes lower at +10 and I am hoping by stopping him going much lower, he won't bounce high tomorrow at AMPS. Glad I am home today as I know the mini meals throughout the day is better but I can't do that when at work. Another long weekend coming up as it is a holiday in Ontario on the 19th so hoping he works that juice this week so I can watch him.
 
Fed another snack at +10. I am sure if I was not feeding him at +8 and +10 he would be in greens again at PMPS but hoping the snacks will avoid a bounce. We shall see what the morning brings. One more snack at PMPS and another at bedtime.
