Hi all my name is Penny and my boy Mookie was diagnosed diabetic and Felv positive(no clinical signs) on Dec.27,17. His CBC tests show glucose 374. So vet started him on Novolin N that day. I did not right the units down at the time as I was in total shock but I believe it was 1 unit twice a day.
Long story short the vet has bounced him up and down between 2 and 3 units twice a day for little over a month sense his diagnoses, and I started home testing Mookie on Jan. 5,18.
His numbers are all over the place and at one point he was at 60 mg/dl, fed him high cal food to start bringing the number up and headed for the vet. He had gained 17 points in an hour by the time I got to the vet. Sense that episode he has been up and down.
I started the groups SS and it is in my signature, I was random testing at first, some days no testing (vet said I was over doing). So on the SS I start with the first day I got the meter. I am using the AlphaTrac2.
Mookie has always ate canned food, but also dry food he is a grazer. Now he is only on canned Friskies or Fancy Feast pate's. And he loves fresh ground rabbit mixed in.
Can you all look at the SS and see what you think? I also have his labs on there too.
