Hi,

How is his UTI going? Still using the pill pockets?

Yesterday curve during the day, you can see a nice lantus curve so the insulin is working. Not sure what happened in the evening. Is there any chance you can grab a before bed test? Not sure if you have enough insulin yet.

It looks like you should increase the dose to 1.25u but wondering if still using the pill pockets then he might drop some more.
 
He seems better and I stopped using the pill pockets. They actually had corn syrup and I didn't notice that. Will remember and put a alarm to test before bed.
For the 1.25 unit, is that like the middle of the line between the 1 and 1.5?

Something like this except at the end of the plunger will be on the 1.5u.
 
Those tests at night are really important. A lot of kitties go lower at night so getting a before bed test is a good indicator of how well a cat is doing on a dose.

You can get the Allergy Free Duck and Pea pill pockets, which are the only ones without corn syrup and are diabetic friendly. Unfortunately they only come in the dog version, so you have to break off a piece of the pill pocket and wrap it around the pill.

For the 1.25 unit dose, you might want to fill up a used syringe with coloured liquid to what you think is 1.25. Then you can use it as a reference dose for the next time. Consistency between shots is more important than getting exactly drawing 1.25 units. Good luck with the new dose.
