I'm telling you Tracy, I'm still not sold on the every 12 hour cycle with Lantus I mean I'm thinking maybe 18 it's supposed to be a 24-hour insulin okay and I realize that there's differences between humans and cats however I have had no one but no one comment or otherwise on trying them on once a day shots or 18 hours. And now having learned what I've learned and seeing what I'm seeing, I get a distinct feeling and I've had it before that she sits somewhere between 1.5 + 1.25
 
There have been cats that got an extra long cycle out of shot. I think Jones has done that once or twice. Maybe it is a ECID thing.

Have you tried to just fattening up the 1.25u dose?
 
I use the insulin ruler. It helps with fattening etc. I take it you are not into using the calipers either.

You can do 1.5U and then take a drop out. Just point it up and slowly press until a drop runs down the needle. I have done that.

Yeah I was reading about the calipers and stuff. If I just think about pushing anything out of needle I'm wearing it lol
