Giving low carb food always helps and their numbers usually start to go down but since you are changing his food you should monitor him a little bit more

And by 4 doses you mean of food?

You've been raising the dose too fast and in too big increments, and you are transitioning to low carb food, so I would suggest you monitor him closely and try to keep the dose for a few days before changing it again unless he goes to low then you decrease the dose by 0.25 units

My vet told me to change it only have pen to shoot for now so can t go half or quarter. I can't check alo t during the day I work 11-9 most of week

You should be very careful with the transitioning if you are not monitoring him during the day, I know is hard with a full time job ( I work full time too so I get it ) try to get some tests during the night or early in the morning to see how he's doing with the new food and the current dose because his numbers may go down a bit

I guessed it had been your vet's suggestion to make such big increments but I would suggest not to change it more for a while so that he can get used to getting insulin and also so that the depot can form

You should also get some syringes with half unit markings so that you can raise or lower the dose in small increments. The problem with such a big change is that cats are really sensitive to even the smallest change in the dose, so doing changes in small allows you to avoid giving him an overdose or skipping the right dose for him
