I thought on TR that you only reduced when bg is under 50?

My good friend just called me, the one who always takes care of mango when I'm on vacation,took her cat to the vet today. Her cat is losing weight and he's always eating and eating and eating and yelling and throwing up all over the place he is actually licking his fur off and chewing his nails off. She took him to the vet, took all his blood tests and everything was normal. no diabetes no pancreatitis.they can't figure out what's wrong.Anybody have any ideas?

Did they check his thyroid (T4) value?

If you go to the TR sticky, there is a link to the Tilly’s diabetes homepage. This is the same TR protocol we follow (in fact, the one on the Tilly’s page is the original), our sticky has some things worded a bit differently. Tilly’s discusses the protocol in terms of phases, and I found that easier to follow. Anyhow, in the section Phase 4, reducing the dose, it discusses if a cat holds numbers below 100 for at least a week, you try to reduce the dose. That is in addition to if the cat drops below 50, you would immediately reduce the dose.

That is the next test. They did a blood test and tested his thyroid but it is not as detailed.
