How do you give tiny insulin doses - 0.75 u, etc?

I use the u-100 syringe (lantus) and it only has 0.5 u marks. I am trying to give 0.75 u, but it seems like such a small amount that when I push the plunger in, it almost seems as though it doesn’t go in at all. Are you all just trying to get the plunger between 1 and 0.5 to the best of your ability? Or is there a better way?

Back in the pre-caliper times, we just eyeballed it. Do your best to see that the bottom of the plunger lies halfway between the 1u and 0.5u lines. Whats important is not that your .75u is perfect, what is important is that it is consistent. Some find it helpful to use water with food coloring added to make up a dummy syringe to keep and use as a guide to measure againsst.

Here is what it looks like:

Can you make your SS public and then we can view and will be able to help you with dosing better. And Welcome to Lantus and Levemir!
