Phoebe is eating but withdrawn again. A big grey poop last night explained her behavior yesterday. Hoping the flare up passes soon. Missed the phone call, put phone down for 5 mins to go to the bathroom, came back to missed call. It was almost 9pm. She had surgery day yesterday. Hoping not to miss her today, to get Phoebe changed over to Levemir. Head bumps and scritches

Hope you don't miss the call today and the switch to Lev is a very positive one. Feel better soon, sweet Phoebe! :bighug:

We are new to the pancreatitis business, how do you tell when a flare up is happening and what do you do about it? I know ECID, but I'm just trying to get a feel.

Out of curiosity, what is the reason you want to switch to Levemir? She's mostly getting good numbers on Lantus.

Curious.. is the gray poop related to pancreatitis? I thought it was a bile duct blockage symptom or liver issues? I have a panc kitty, too, and I still don't know if he has had flares.

Hi Stacy, I know she's having a flare up when she starts acting a certain way. She gets less sociable and her poops are grey and liquidy. They smell so gross. I pretty much can see it in her full body language. But the tall tell sign is her unsociable behavior. She will follow me around room to room unless she's having the flare. Hope that helps.
