Amazon can also have good deals, depending on the meter. If you can't find good deals for the strips your meter uses, it's likely cheaper in the long run to switch to a meter where you can. 50 for $52 is too much!

We pay the same in Canada. You’d think they were gold plated!

If it's an AT, I believe the Freestyle Lite strips work in that meter (I don't have one myself, but have seen several here vouch for the accuracy), so that might help on cost.

Can't do much for the Canadian strip prices, though :(.

I started with AT, and was shocked at the cost. Using relion meter and strips now. $18 for 50 strips. The meter costs around $16. It's a Walmart's product and works just fine.

Shame it’s not available in Canada. Nice price on those strips. Makes me hesitant to test so much at $1 per strip.

Yes that's what I found 52$ for 50

go on ebay, there are some really good bulk auctions from one seller right now for 'freestyle lite' strips, bigger expense at first when buying in bulk but, you end up paying $10-16 per box on average depending on auction cost. Right now they are going for closer to $10 per box which i stupidly lost that auction by $3 dollars today lol. anyhows they work fine with alphatrak2 and BG readings are no more than 10 off max with alphatrek2 set on code 38.

I buy on eBay. I never bid tho as I never win. I go right to buy it now and get the best deal I can. Just got 200 strips for $122.

yeah you do get them resellers that like to overbid big time so they can resell them for $25 and up!! i won't buy from sellers selling them for over $20 a box because of that getting on my nerves!! you can still however find good deals, last two auctions i paid $133 & $134 for 11 boxes and 12 boxes. Plus the opened boxed & dinged up boxes bidding auctions go for less since resellers don't usually bid on those. the closed boxed ones from link above have suprisingly been going for pretty low, the one i lost by $3 (which i knew i should of bid more but, i didn't really need them yet) went for $188 for 20 boxes (1000 strips). others from that seller have been going for decently too, think it is because they have been bombarding ebay with these huge lots in last couple of weeks.. I don't get in bidding war anymore, i watch auctions and bid what i am willing to pay on the last 30 seconds of auction, how i won those two auction cheap, next time try that, you have a higher chance of winning that way..

I’ve never seen ANY that low priced but remember I’m in Canada and must use eBay.ca

Since you live in New Jersey, why don't you simply switch to a human meter? The Walmart Relion brand is excellent and you will save hundreds of dollars on strips (the Relion Confirm and Relion Micro: both use the same strips). American Diabetes Wholesale (ADW) has a good deal on Arkray Glucocard 01 meters (Relion is Walmart's brand name put on the Arkray). Here is a link to their best Arkray Glucocard 01 package. (the meter is the same as the Relion Confirm): a free meter kit and 200 strips for $72.

Good luck!
