1/15 Cerenia Shortage

i just read that there is a shortage now of cerenia. Thriving pets says it is on back order. They also sold their last bag of lactated ringers. So those using might want to plan ahead.
 
Ruth, I don't know. The person said her vet was out of it and she ordered from thrivingpets and called them when it hadn't shipped quickly. I don't know where she lives. Hopefully it is not like the LRS shortage or the prednisolone shortages that have happened twice that I know of.

I found out about it as I tried to order some a few days ago, and I just received an email that the company won't release any. I have some, but it depends on how long this lasts. Murphy gets it daily, but maybe I need to start skipping days. I wish we knew how long this was going to last. Honestly, these drugs shortages are so frustrating. and now the IV fluid shortage in the US - I didn't know, but most of the IVs are made in Puerto Rico, and since our wonderful government has not restored electric power since the hurricane so many months ago, we don't have any IV fluids.
 
I apologize for rekindling this old thread. The medical supply house I order cerenia from just sent me an email stating the manufacturer was not releasing any cerenia, so the order would be on hold until they get it. I googled cerenia shortage, came up with this old thread in FDMB, but did not look at the date. I apologize for what is hopefully a false alarm.
