And wasnt doing long enough the first time to count for much luckily. One of my girls was diagnosed with diabetes today and Im a little lost as it came out of the blue. I still have some basics from Cooters episode 2 years ago, but have a problem. The strips I have expired Dec 31st and Nov 30th. i can not make it to walmart tonight, will these be ok till tomorrow? She is currently dealing with Ketones and not eating as well, so wanted to try to test before I decide on a gameplan. the vet gave her 1 unit of prozinc almost 6 hours ago (1130 local) but ai need to get her to a 530 am/pm schedule. Is it safe to wait till morning with the DKA? Is it safe to give her a dose at 530.... the spreadsheet in my sig is cooters old one, trying to get everything going again, sorry!
