Toro is in a better place now. No more pain, no more needles. RIP. We are heartbroken, he suffered so much in the past 45 hours....we'll miss him a lot !!!!!!
This is my last posting here. Thank you for your help in the past 6 months.

I'm so sorry. :bighug: healing prayers to your heart for your loss of Toro. :bighug::rb_icon:

I know how terrible you feel. All of us here have felt so. You put up a good fight.
Toro suffered for the last 45 hours? O dear. I have watched 2 of my kitties suffer like that, and it is agonizing. I blame myself for not letting them go in relative peace. But hope is strong and often overcomes intelligence. Then, too, the cost of an ER is not possible for everyone. It wasn't for me.

Toro is free now, and will always live in your heart. Hugs and prayers.:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

We had to do the surgery as he was bleedind bad...it was our only hope. He just couldn’t recover from it, he was too weak. After the surgery he wasn’t himself anymore, he couldn't breath properly anymore. We hoped once the anestesya will wear off he’ll be better. He was worse and we gave him another 18 hours to get better - with pain medication and love. But he went the other side, by the time we took him to ER was a question of minutes. They told us nothing could have save him regardless of when we came. We helped him pass the bridge and was the only thing we could do for him. We are at peace but not our hearts were ready for the outcome.

I am so sorry to see that Tora has crossed the Bridge. There are so many kitties from FDMB that are waiting there for him. I will ask my Tuxie to look out for him and show him around the "Place of No Pain". As hard as we try to help our beloved furbabies, sometimes the greatest and most heart-wrenching gift of love is to allow them to leave their poor broken bodies and fly free. Hold close all the special memories deep in your heart, to give you some peace and strength at this time. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I am so sorry for your loss. :bighug: We get so close to our FD kitties that it makes the goodbyes even harder. Many of our GA kitties will greet him at the Bridge, until you meet again.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I, too, have known the agony of trying everything to save my beloved kitty, only to have his little body give out. You did the very best you could, and I'm sure Toro knew how much you loved him. May time ease your pain. :bighug:

Fly free, sweet Toro, and land softly.

I am so sorry for your loss. He is still in your life, just in a different way.
He is in a good place, like you said, and he will be waiting for you to join him one day.

I am so sorry to hear that Toro has gone to the Bridge. He will always hold a special place in your heart, and one day you will be reunited. I hope your wonderful memories of him will help your heart to heal.

Fly free, sweet Torocat_wings>o

I lost my boy recently too, it is such an emotional rollercoaster trying to nurse them back to health and then having to be selfless and let them be pain free. You are a wonderful bean who did everything you could for your furball. I am sure he appreciates the time and effort you dedicated to making his time with us better.

He will always be in your heart and will watch over you from the bridge with the other kitties who have gotten their wings.

:bighug::bighug::bighug: In this difficult time for you.

Brave Toro is flying free and all of our GAs at the Bridge will keep him company until that wonderful day when you are reunited. He is "in good paws". :rb_icon:
May your beautiful memories help to heal your broken heart.

In deepest sympathy,

Ella & Edward, Rusty, and Stu (GA)

So very very sorry to hear you had to say goodbye to Toro, our hearts are never ready but so glad you're in a place of peace knowing he's no longer in pain.

Thank you for your thoughts.
One more thing: Please be aware of a drug called METACAM for cats - it is banned in US but free for use in Canada (FDA approved probably because it is a Canadian product) - I have a very bad feeling about it, after it was part of the post-surgical cocktail of drugs......TRY NOT TO USE IT - EVER !
Good Luck with your kitties!
