I use lanctus for Tyler and at the moment am buying the BD Ultra-fine II 0.3ml - .25mm(31g) x 8mm syringes from the vet practice . I'm fine with these. Work well enough for me. However, these syringes do not measure half amounts. Is there a BD syringe out there that does this please? I've tried looking on line but it;s a bit of a mine field.
This doesn't mean I will be able to obtain here in New Zealand but if there is , I could at least try to source .

Thanks

Also, maybe amend the title of this thread to ask where to buy the syringes in NZ or Australia?

Hi M
I'm over the water in Australia and have been through the same exercise of the 1/2 unit syringes. Basically we can't them here (still can't work out why, it seems bizarre). I've attached a link to a thread that's got some helpful info in it, including where to source 1/2 unit syringes from the UK and how to use the BD ruler. I've opted for the latter, which has worked really well (providing consistent dosing, which apparently the syringe markings can be inaccurate). Hope this helps.

Update.

So Hyperdrug are able to post demi measure syringes to New Zealand. Even with the cost of shipping it is still cost effective.
I also sourced two places here that stock the syringes with the usual unit measures so emailed about this & if they will sell to me but no reply at all.

Emailed NZ customs and excise about the import of the syringes and as usual it will be a bit of palaver and expense. Tax to pay plus import fee of $50 & primary industries are alerted coz they now think animal medicine for goodness sake. If I didn't contact them up front though it could be the same scenario as was had over two tubs of gravy granules. Yes you read that right, gravy granules. A UK pal posted some to me as a pressy and an in-joke. Things were held up customs end for three months and finally arrived the worse for wear having been tested and examined.
