Loki was just put on Enalapril

Hi all, Loki just had his yearly blood work done and his kidneys are compromised. His vet has ordered 1/2 of a 2.5 Enalapril once per day. My question to him was how will this affect his BGs? The vet said it should not, anyone have any advise as to if this can affect the levels of his blood sugar? I have been reading up on side effects and it kind of scares me. At, 23 he is doing well, all his other blood levels were perfect such as his heart and liver.

Rover was on Fortekor - a different inhibitor drug. It is only available in Canada in a (dog) chewable that is sweet. If the enalapril is a chewable, check the list of ingredients.

Overall and 23 (WOW), that's a good report. Kidney stuff can be managed.

I guess I need to learn something - I've never heard of Enalapril for kidneys. It's usually for the heart. I've had 2 'heart' kitties that were/are on it now.
