Thanks @Marje and Gracie could you fix up the 2018 ss - I was trying to add in the last three rows of 2017 to the 2018 ss but it didnt work. Worked ok on the world tab that I use. Thanks. Hoping for blues today but not home to check. I really really want to be able to do a curve when I've got a yellow (or even better) blue amps. Then I know its not a bouncing curve. If I get one, it may be tempting to call in sick that day but risking my job might not be wise!

Did you send her a PM?? she may not see the tag (probably sleeping at the moment).
To start a pm go to inbox and select start a conversation, then just start typing marje and click on her name when it appears.
:)

Hoping for some more blue for Silver.

I’ll message. Thanks. Or I could just fix it myself ;)

I just need editing rights and I can’t remember if I have those for Silver’s SS. Do you remember?

The only reason I prefer to do that via PM is I have to give you my email address and I don’t like to broadcast it :)

Bummer today isn't a curve day, but I hope Silver comes down a bit and is ready for you and not bouncing on the next curve day! :bighug:

Does anyone know why notifications stop showing up? I never get notifications when someone comments in the condo even tho it’s checked off in preferences?

Heading home now and hoping for a low PMPS. I have to go right out for physio but can monitor from +2 onwards if it’s low.

Does an evening curve count if I wait up past nadir? If he’s in blue tonight I mean. Because if he is blue then chances are high he will be pink next several days. Seems to be his thing.

You can do a curve in a PM cycle if you prefer, or if the numbers are such that it seems like a good idea because you want to catch an active cycle.

Ok, Silver you need to throw out the pink and yellow tutu and pick up a blue one...jees kitty, you are driving your human nuts!
Nope I got a red - 441 - and I am in near tears. I cannot seem to catch a break. Obviously I don't know how low he went and now he is on his next four day bounce. I feel so defeated.

At least on the 29th I saw a blue before the red :arghh::arghh::arghh:. Now I miss seeing the good stuff. If he is still bouncing at the weekend I am lost as to how to handle this.

I’ve noticed that sometimes when I stay logged in all the time (which I always do), that notifications quit working. When this happens, I just log out and back in and it seems to fix the problem for a little while anyways. Hope it helps.

Thanks I’ll try that.

Ah now that just sucks!

If you're following SLGS, you need to remember to evaluate Silver's dose every 7 days. You increased to 2.0u on 12/27 so Silver was due for a dose increase today (Wed). You held the 1.75u for 11 days. Holding a dose longer than is necessary if the numbers are still higher than desirable can result in glucose toxicity. Basically, that means that the higher range acts like the new "normal" and it can make it tougher to get the kitty's body to get accustomed to lower numbers.

If the dose isn't bringing Silver into the range you are wanting, then it's time to increase. The only way Silver will see green is to increase the dose until you get where you want to go.

But @Jill & Alex (GA) said I didn’t have enough data to increase the dose and I didn’t. I still don’t as I have no idea how low he went today. I know today is the 7th day but I can’t do a curve until Saturday. I was advised (quite strongly) several times two days ago NOT to increase. Trying hard to follow advice. I believe he went lower today and immediately bounced into red. But I don’t know for sure. I have been concerned about glucose toxicity holding a dose too long.

@Sienne and Gabby (GA) , you're correct. However, in this case, Juliet has held the dose (at my suggestion) until she knows/has a better idea of how low this dose is taking Silver.

Should I Increase the Dose?
