This is in Myagi's daily condo but no one is responding. While I'm not panicked, I am concerned because it's out of ordinary.

Myagi still isn't eating. Drank a lot of water. Peed a couple of times like a horse. Tested - ketones negative. Hand fed people turkey and cat chicken treat. But pretty much otherwise refusing food. Stool was almost liquid, not quite. Sleeping all evening. He is still bright eyed and moving when you wake him. Not tender anywhere when holding, poking or prodding. Could it be an upset stomach from eating too much YA ZERO today when I was out of lc? Even when he won't eat his own food (sometimes I think he doesn't want the zobaline and bs gold), he'll still sneak Millie's food and always his soup. If he were eating even a little, i wouldn't have checked and seen the soft stool because he is mostly acting normal. ???Thanks!

For me, a cat not eating is upto something. Can be a tummy upset, can be pancreatitis, can be a pile of other things. Can also be kidneys. The timing is bad given what day today is, but when were Myagi's last labs? I'd personally think about heading to the vets within the next 12-24 hours.

Not sure if this is very helpful!

I’ve heard of a lot of kitties getting tummy upsets when starting YA. Hope he’s feeling better this AM.

Good morning! Myagi is feeling much better. He's only ever had it as treats or toppings previously. Yesterday it was meal portions. The evo dry makes civvy Millie constipated, but Myagi never had prob with anything before. It was a choice between the zero dry and a 13 carb wet. If there's ever a next time (hopefully not!), I'll go with the higher carb.
He ate his lc bkfst and box looks normal. Thanks!!:bighug::bighug:

I read a lot of good about THIS PRODUCT to help w/ diarrhea and digestive in general. Some here give it daily even when no symptoms present - as a preventive/ prophylactic measure.
I hope that his not eating as usual is nothing serious, thou.. Cats do odd things sometimes for no reason...
If my cat did it I'd watch for signs of nausea (lip smacking, sniffing food and walking away just to return to repeat a little later), meat loaf sitting position - could a be a sign of pain in case of pancreatitis flare up, etc...
Nausea can be helped with Cerenia - available from vets.
In case of pancreatic flare - nausea meds + pain relieve+ fluids is what usually helps.
But frankly, I'd observe the clinical signs for now, at least thru the New Year's and see maybe he simple doesn't like (for now ) what he was served... and will get better - or restored to norm completely later on.
Good to read to does better!

I know Myagi is eating again and of course this always occurs to me 3 seconds after I walk away.
This is the neurosurgeon who repaired me. She has every quality you want in a doctor.
As I'm laying on the table waiting for the gas her assistant asked for "The machine that goes ping!" No one else laughed.

She is now teaching what she knows and 12 years later still remembers me. :)

@Kris & Teasel She teaches at McMaster now. After 7 male doctors either wouldn't listen to me or were just too pompous to live she figured everything out in 5 minutes. When she showed me my MRI and where the stent was she put her hand on my shoulder and said "See, it's a part of you now" in the most reassuring way possible. Just an absolute gem of a human being.
