Breathing a little easier this morning after a calm overnight cycle and a lovely AMPS. Hope there's a great cycle ahead. Not too low today Mr. Jenks (not too high either)!

Not good, not good at all. I'm freaking out again you guys.

This is twice in the last three days that we've had a drastic late cycle rise into a yellow PMPS after not having a yellow anywhere in the cycle for the last month, and I'm really worried that this growing instability means that we're seeing the death throes of the vacation cycle magic.

I feel powerless to affect it.

Is he bouncing off of a 47? Yesterday's cycle says no. The only thing I can think to try is to give him another meal at +2 to try to avoid or smooth out the early cycle drop. But he doesn't have a very big appetite, so I can't guarantee he'd each much just two hours after breakfast food.

Is it poor absorption from the shot location? No clue. I'm in the same area I've been in since the vacation magic began, and I'm understandably wary about moving somewhere drastically different in case doing so has the opposite effect.

Is the insulin petering out? We're at the end of this vial, so it's possible that we're drawing doses of varying potency. I should dispense with the one or two doses left in the bottle and crack open a new vial to see how that works out.

The worst part is that these routine trips to the 40s in recent days means I should reduce to 6.25U. But how can I do that knowing it might leave him with not enough juice to stave off the higher late cycle numbers?

I know that there are no answers to any of these questions, and that I'm just putting them out into the world to get them off of my mind, but I'm open to any insight if you have some.

Make sure you only change one thing at a time or you won't know what causes it if there is a change. I'd try the new vial first and see if it makes any difference. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
