Good evening, L&LL,

Well, the BD experiment was a failure today and I don't have time to deal with these syringes during the holidays, so at PM shot I went back to the Monojects: at least I can see the disk and the lines and the plunger isn't thick, like the BD plunger, so the calipers are easier to use. I'll just have to keep on trying to deal with the cone for a while.
Rusty had a low-key day. I think he was tired from his 2 high energy days. I made a barricade to put around the Xmas tree stand and it worked. Rusty stayed away from the tree water. I wouldn't worry about the tree water itself, but our stand is about 30 years old and the paint is wearing off. I worry that he will ingest that.
He had good appetite today. His sinuses are getting better. He got to breathe steam again. It is helping.

Tomorrow is the Solstice. Here it will be at around 11:45 A.M. We're going to a party to celebrate with eggnog and a swim(??) in the hosts' new hot tub. Temperature is supposed to go down to zero Fahrenheit tonight, so it might be a bit chilly tomorrow morning.

back tomorrow. sorry to miss condos yet again.

Hope someone is planning on spiking the eggnog!!.....and I think you "soak" in a hot tub instead of "swim" ;)

Glad to hear Rusty is breathing better and can't drink the Christmas tree dry!! Of course a barricade is usually just a challenge around here....LOL

Sorry the syringe experiment was such a dismal failure....I understand your pain with China on the 1 drop dose!

Stay warm!! We're supposed to get some cold air on Friday....I could live without it myself. (at least I now have a car with a remote start though!)

Brrrrrrrr but sounds fun!

I’m glad Rusty’s dong well and now staying away from the tree water.

I feel your pain on the BDs. I don’t know if you’ve checked with Wendy but you could get her measurements in mm for 1u of insulin on the BDs. The only problem is if the MJs are still pulling “some” amount of insulin into the hub.

We put several big pinecones in the Christmas tree stand, the cats don't like them and it's easy to fill the water over them. Glad Rusty is breathing easier, it's got to be hard with the dry winter air, we had pans on the radiators, but it's not enough (DD gets bad bloody noses from dry air) so we got a couple of steam humidifiers and what a world of difference they make. Sorry about the syringe frustration. I started with monojects and hated them, don't like the BD ones much better, but with the calipers I no longer care about the bad print jobs. ;)

Happy Solstice tomorrow! Sounds like a good way to celebrate.
Glad Rusty's feeling better :):cat:
Good luck switching over to the BD's. It was awkward for me to use the calipers with them at first but SO much better once I got my set up together. However, I didn't start out with anything except BDs so maybe it was easier for me to get used to.
