Hi Cass,Oh! QUESTION!
the vet brought up two options to "assist" for the sharp drop situations, and I've never seen them mentioned here as options.... i dont know how i feel about them.
1. Steroids. He actually said he'd give me a pre-dosed steroid shot to give in emergency. I dont know how I'd feel about that and it seems odd.
2. This special paste they have thats higher in carbs, but also calories and protein. He recommends it over syrups. I can't remember the name ... i may get some if its not too expensive and see what it really does...
I would stay very far away from option 1. Why would that work? I guess if it were for a life or death emergency it's one thing, but why would that work? The second one, is it nutri-cal or something like that? It should work, because the first ingredient is corn syrup (Karo is corn syrup) but it has a lot of other supplements they may or may not need and I doubt the quality is that great. One of the vets recommended it to me too.Oh! QUESTION!
