This morning she's almost pink:
297 @AMPS
260 @+2.5

It looks like her need for insulin is rising fairly quickly.

I'm only on the 4th cycle at 8U, but I am getting worried. TiTi is not looking or acting any worse than her "new usual", but her BGs are getting very odd. 6.5U not so long ago, which was the lowest she's ever been, to a rise to 8U in very little time.

???? What could be causing this BG roller coaster ride ????

I don't know much about high dose conditions, but I'm guessing you don't definitively know which one she has? My (extremely limited) understanding of acro is that the tumor does what it does and based on that insulin needs go up and down, sometimes in short order. I hope 8 units does it for her this time, paws crossed! :cat::bighug:

It's most likely acro; she has most of the symptoms. I know the tumor shrinks and grows periodically. My concern now is the rapidity of the rise and fall. I have not experienced this in a long time - about a year I'd say. And it does not look like 8U is enough insulin.

So I'm wondering if this indicates a worsening of her condition, or if I should just consider it within the normal range for acro kitties.

The tumour fluctuates up and down - perfectly normal. And sometimes I've seen it go quickly up or down. In late summer 2015, Neko's dose more than doubled over a few months. At least Titi is on the relatively small size dose of insulin for an acro.

That's very reassuring, thank you. At +9 she's going back up to 283. I'm thinking she needs an increase. Maybe tomorrow at AMPS a .5?

TiTi nadired at 100 +6, and then immediately rose. At PMPS she was at 323. Even though TiTi's only completed 5 cycles, I am wondering if I should raise her by .5U to 8.5U tomorrow at AMPS

Good luck with the increase. It's my understanding that after 5 units the increases are in increments of .5 unit.
yup. And that is how much I would increase, but this is only TiTi's 5th cycle, and protocol is to wait 6 cycles, so I'm not so sure about increasing at AMPS.
But she sure looks like she needs it. .

Please hold the dose. With blues, I hold at least 8 cycles and you got some lower blues. PMPS could be the high before the low. Time to tighten the patience pants. ;)
