AMPS 257: gave 8% food
Left out 15% food
+4=90
Good grief! I left out 15% food this AM before I left for work, and it was gone when I got back for the AM+4 - and she was at 90! I have to go back to work, so I'm going to leave out some 13% food just to be safe, given what she did yesterday, as I think the depot is still in play today...
Quandry: How to stop the jumps to yellow before the AMPS? She usually goes up at +2, so that's no indicator, and then does a sudden dive down at +3 or +4. So if I leave out a higher carb food (15 - 16%) that might keep her in blues (as last night) - but then she'll pop back up to yellow in the AM.
Last night:
PMPS 189: 8% food
+2: 15% food
+3: 121: left out 20% food
+6: 133: no food
+9:30: 191: no food
Was the 20% too much last night at +3, I wonder? She'd already gone down so much, and the real Levemir kick comes in at +4, so I thought I'd better be safe than sorry as I knew I couldn't stay awake... And can that 20% at PM+3 last night account for the steady increase after +6, even though she didn't have access to food? I'm not sure how to figure her out, especially as I have to guess ahead of time at night so I can get some sleep in. I'd be grateful for any ideas or suggestions...
