My sweet, sweet Peanut went to sleep in my arms today cat_wings>o. I made the tough decision for the doctor to give him an injection into his IV. It wasn't as smooth as I had pictured and I felt it, the moment that his heart stopped. I'll never forget that feeling either. But, I know in the end that it's what was best for him, he was too far gone to save no matter how much I wanted to. It's just a shock to have him be seemingly fine one day and gone the next. My heart is still trying to cope, my mind gets it but my heart doesn't.

I decided on a home burial. I found a nice spot in the back yard between the fence and a beautiful fig tree. My boyfriend and I are making a small sign for him to mark his spot with. We have also cut a piece of his fur and bound it with with ribbon and the vet's office did a clay paw print that I will pick up next week.

I was going to post some photos of Peanut and maybe this is just coincidence but ever since this net neutrality stuff I can't seem to find an online photo editor so if someone knows of a good source then I'll post some photos of him. I have plenty of good photos to remember him by. Thank you all for the love and support that you have provided.

I'll post some photos of him

If they're saved to your computer's "pictures", all you have to do is go to the bottom and click on "Upload a file"....a new little box will pop up that says "browse"....Click that and your chose your "Picture" folder. Pick the picture you want to add and click "Open"

"Thumbnail" will be a smaller picture, but if people click on it, it will expand, or you can use the Full Image. Repeat the process as many times as you want to add pictures

Fly free sweet Peanut and land softly....you have lots of friends at the Bridge to welcome you and keep you company until the one you love most comes to be with you forever cat_wings>o

That never works for me, I've tried several times but I think that my photos are too big or something.

So, so many (((hugs))) for you. My heart hurts for you. Such a hard decision to make, and the last gift of love we can give to our beloved kitties. I'm glad you were there with him and he was surrounded by your love. Hold close and cherish all your wonderful memories of Peanut, and he will live forever in your heart.

"Cats never completely leave you. They side step time, shrug off death - come at the call of memory, their beauty undiminished, their touch as gentle, their love perpetual."

Fly free, sweet peanut, and land gently. You are so loved, dear one cat_wings>o

Thank you all for your loving messages, they have really helped me. I'm doing better today than I was yesterday. I know that Peanut is in a better place now, no more poking, no more shots. He can play with the other kitties and wait for me on the other side. I'll see him again.

Nancy and I extend our deepest sympathies - the love you have for your pet is an inspiration - we to have shared that sad moment when they go but your Peanut was fortunate to be so loved. God bless- glad you have other cats to enrich your life.

Very Best Regards, Bob & Nancy

I'm so sorry. There's not much else to say. Except that you were obviously a very good mom to Peanut and you made the hardest, but the best decision for him.

I'll light a candle in my window tonight for you and your sweet Peanut.
