Hi guys,

I posted the other day & was going to increase Merry to 4.5u but decided to hold for another couple cycles. Last night he was 6.3 at +3.25 after PM shot so I was hoping to maybe catch a green reading based on that (that's his lowest yet). I got up at 3:30 am & he was 7.4 and then at AMPS this morning he was 12.4. I thought I might have gotten a green for the first time during the night last night but no luck . So I am increasing to 4.5u tonight for sure. Maybe this will finally be the dose for Merry :) Increasing all the time worries me and I'm trying to stick to TR but I may switch to SLGS. I don't know.

Here's a Christmas photo of Merry :)

So festive, Merry! That photo is adorable! :cat:

This just reminded me of something. Maybe you could put a bell on him (on a collar)? I've heard of deaf cats having bad social etiquette and if he's wearing a bell, he can't sneak up on the other cats.

Merry looks so innocent in that photo, LOL, but it was right after he went after Autumn. She's terrified of him & her body language is obvious, she pinned her ears, backed away & then tried to leave the room & Merry ran right after her on purpose & tackled her. I was right there & I didn't actually think he was going to go after Autumn, I thought for a second he was going to listen to her body language & then he darted after her. I got him off her as soon as it happened & no one was hurt but Autumn was very upset. He does that even though he knows she's afraid of him. He's a real booger that way. I usually make sure Autumn & Parker are in another room when Merry is on the same floor as they are because they are both terrified of him but I didn't see Autumn at first. A bell might help in the other situation where he sneaks up on the others when they're sleeping. He's a bossy boy!

Merry has had a high-ish day today. At PMPS he was 14.3. Is he maybe bouncing a bit from being lower than he's used to last night?

14.3 isn’t high in comparison. My Silver has often been way over 20 at PMPS. If he was at 6.3 at +3 you can likely expect he would have gone lower than that at +6 which is usually nadir. Following SLGS he’d get a dose reduction below 5 not an increase. Can you wait and do a curve before making your decision on increase or decrease? See where he is going at nadir? Personally I wouldn’t be increasing and leaning towards decreasing.

Blues are nice, but green is the goal. I would increase to 4.5 units. You test plenty to keep him safe on TR.

ETA: love the pic.

Darn I already gave him 4.5u. I can do 4.25u again in the morning & stay there for a few more days. I should be home enough on Saturday or Sunday to do a curve. I've been following TR but I'm feeling a bit uncomfortable with the dose increases.

This was my post 2 days ago & I was going to go to 4.5u that night but than decided to stay at 4.25u a bit longer.

It's tricky because I don't want to miss his good dose & I feel like on TR I'm increasing pretty quickly, but I know that's how it works until we get some greens. You must have been typing the same time I was replying to Juliet, LOL!

Lol. That happens. You need to do what you are comfortable with. I know I feel better doing SLGS. Read up on both protocols and then you can decide. I think TR might give you a faster remission but it does take some guts and wisdom to shoot low and I don’t have that personally.
