? 30/11 Back to insulin Meme amps 130 +3 80, pmps 100 does not want to eat

Hi all,

We back to insulin this morning based on your advise, this high am is number is her problem , she was doing fine for a while then morning number little high, +9 snack does not work.

I had to left for work after +3 this morning and now is the time for her shot and she does not want to eat what should i do?? Shot whenever she eats or skip?
 
Sometimes she do that when her stomach not ok or nausea but i do not think it is nausea, she is acting fine :(.
 
When did she stop eating? Did you leave food for her during the day, and did she eat it? (not sure which cycle the +9 snack mentioned above is from).

Her first shot at 6 am and she eat will then she ate again at 9 am and at 12 pm and at 6 pm she does not want to eat only sleep ( time is different her in my country :)). So i did not shot
 
They often act fine when nauseous. Max just wouldn’t eat. Do you have any nausea medication to try?
 
I'm glad it hasn't been a very long period without eating! Hopefully just temporary and she'll be feeling better soon.

If you have some anti-nausea medication, it's probably worth trying to see if that helps.
 
No we do not have here, i just ordered slippery elm a week ago, it suposed to arrive soon, usually she does not eat for a while if it is mild then eat at the end of the day. Hope it os just something temporary.
 
Rex (my civvie) sometimes gets gassy and i think it leads to nauses for her. She typically acts fine, is excited for food but then doesnt eat. After a vet stay for this, Ive been using pepcid to aid when she has a gas "episode"... but i wouldn't do that unless you've spoken to a vet. I dont have the specific dosage I use with me and type, but I am sure others know. It needs to be basic pepcid.

I hope she feels better soon :bighug::bighug:
 
She just taste some food:), not too much but enough to make me stop worrying. I am just upset be ause i had to skip the insulin.


How do i know if she had gases, i do not know but sometimes after she eats when she set i can see her tummy moving or do little jump i do not know how to explain that clearly but i thouhgt it is normal or she just ate too fast!!

It’s hard to say but my two one year olds eat really fast without any problems. Glad she’s eating.

Amber SS looks like MeMe on her OTJ, high in morning then drop by herself with no insullin but Amber dropped below 50 so you start OTJ. Guess i have to wait for this drop too:)
 
Yes... Although, I would have liked to keep her on the drop dose longer, it just wasn't possible.

Amber never did shake the AMPS blues (I haven't checked recently-- she's still always green during the day, and that's good enough for me!), but ideally you do want to see those numbers green, too. Hope MeMe gets there soon!

Well, with Rex, she had an episode in feb. that she refused to eat anything. So i ended up bringing her to the vet. They took XRays and an ultrasound... only to discover her intestines were just full of gas... LOL. Thats why I said maybe check with the vet if you want to go that route...

After that, when she starts ti displays signs of nausea, i give her 1/4 of a pill and usually do it for 4 days (just to end the pill) and she goes back to normal.

It could whats causing Meme's upset. I put it out there just based on the fact she is behaving normally right now. (Cats are masters of disguising pain though so you never truly know.)

But every cat is different and its hard to pinpoint without an exam.

Things like slippery elm bark and such coupd help too if you go that route. it all depends on what's causing the lack of appetite.
