Good morning!

It has been awhile since my last post, but Osha is continuing to do well. She is mostly blue and a bit of green and yellow. It is so lovely not having to worry about numbers with her.

I brought my mom from rehab to my house yesterday. She is recovering nicely from her surgery. She is walking with a walker pretty well at this point. This is going to be an adjustment. She was up at 2am, 4am, and 6am....which meant , in this tiny place, I was awake as well. It is difficult to give up my space and any alone time.

I hope the kitties and beans have a nice Saturday!

I can imagine how difficult that is... :( How long do they think she will have to stay with you? I'm sure she really appreciates your help! Hopefully as she heals and adjusts she won't be up as much in the middle of the night. It's great that Osha is taking care of business. :)

Oh, I forgot I wanted to ask, what water fountains are you guys using and like? Osha's stopped working a couple of days ago and I'd like to get her a new one for Christmas. :cat:

Drinkwell Ceramic Pagoda Pet Fountain. Ceramic, never has an issue with it for 4 months, pretty easy to clean it. Not very quiet one but ok for the basement.
Toro still prefers the dripping water from the furnace's humidifier, though. :)

Ia'm glad to hear that your mom and Osha are both doing well.
Go GREEN!!!

As to fountains? I've used a lot over a 15 year period, and I vote for the Drinkwell line. Easy to clean, easy to take apart and put back together, and very durable. If you buy the huge one, the water lasts a very long time.

I agree on the Drinkwell (or at least the model that we had with the crappy water that we had). We had this one ( https://www.chewy.com/drinkwell-360...OvWTNG_Mk0xDbhq_JNxoCRZ0QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds ) and I found it hard to clean as well. Too many little nooks for scale and slime to build up (our water was REALLY bad).

We now have 4 fountains similar to the catit noted above ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0146QXOB0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_UFFgAbZN7ESPN ), but without the flower on top, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Catit-Design...1511651772&sr=8-8&keywords=pet+fountain+catit Other than the pump itself, which is pretty similar no matter which fountain you get, there are only three pieces and they easily go in the dishwasher if desired. Some of our cats actually like drinking directly from the bubbler that is created in the middle, which is why I opted not to go for the flower model.

And any Wisconsinite will also now know where I grew up, and that a "bubbler" as a real thing...while the rest of you can google it :)

Sandi.

Glad to hear that Osha is doing well and that your mom is recovering. We don't use a water fountain, so I can't offer any advice.

This is new to me. Looks good.
We use the Catit Flower Fountain and love it. It is super easy to clean, easier than the Drinkwell we used to have. It is the perfect height for our little kitty and our big boy.

I also have had many fountains over the years and without a doubt the Catit flower fountain is an all around favorite at our house. I love it because it's quiet and super easy to clean. Radar loves it because it is the perfect height for him to drink from and the water is constantly moving.

I have had a Drinkwell for years and years. It's a bit of a pain to take apart and clean, but it's very dependable and lasts a long time. We have the large reservoir for it, too. We also have the Whisker City fountain, which has a much smaller reservoir but fewer pieces, and the motor is submersible.
