? Dweezil AMPS 54 after days of all pinks and reds

I kept an eye on him last night until finally going to bed at 1.30am (8 hours after his PM shot) because his numbers were coming up a little and every other night in the past that he's gone lower than usual, he is high again by morning.

And yes, he wasn't too low last night but I kept feeding him every hour to try to pre-empt him from falling any more.

So then this morning at his normal AM shot time of 5am, to see he'd been 54 for hours and still was!?

We could not give him his AM dose today as he didn't come up high enough until it was too far past his normal shot time.

Why? WHY!?!?!?!

Maybe the depot was draining possibly pancreas is kicking in.Hopefully others will chime in.

What is "high enough" for you? With a DKA history, you don't want to miss shots if at all possible. He was on his way up at +2. Even a reduced dose might have helped cut back the high numbers you'll now see.

Very right. If he had been home as normal tonight and tomorrow night then we could have pushed his dosage time back by 2-3 hours today and tonight, but he's at the cattery so we didn't have that option.

In the past I've tried reduced doses when he was too low to shoot and they did nothing at all.
