Junior's #s have been high and now are low.

His first test that led me to the low # was a 82mg @+5. Then the first 30 minute test with high carb food read 96mg. Second 30 minute test was 106mh with high carb food and some Karo. The 1 hour test read 180mg. Now he's really pissed at me for sticking him so many times. LOL.
 
Idk what made him go that low since he's been reading high? Didn't change his insulin, still at 1 unit. I got EVO to leave out for him when I'm not home though but I do feed him wet fancy fest classic every few hours.
 
Those first greens are scary! You did a great job. Next time, try some low carb when he’s a high green and save the Karo for 50 and below. The prozinc gurus will be better able to tell you about his dosing, but some kitties need a few days to settle into a dose and there’s bouncing. I know what you mean about being afraid to leave, but you’ll get a routine and he will settle down in time.

Thank you! Well the reason I freaked was he just had 2 hypos in a 24 hour period this past Friday so when I saw such a big drop from his previous test I went into freak momma mood.

I'm so glad you found this group. My friends and family don't understand and think i am crazy. It's hard trying to get used to this new normal that is now our life. He's definitely gonna give me more white hair, but he's my baby and I love him.
 
Well Junior's +3 & +4 test are 59 & 55!!!! What is going on? Lower than yesterday now. Yes I gave Karo this time, way toooo close to that bad #50. What else can I do to? He's starting to not want canned food now, not even his favorite canned science diet. I'm at a loss. Help.....
 
You’re getting really good at this! Is Junior accepting the tests better? Not sure on the drops, but maybe the insulin brings him down and then next cycle is a bounce. He hasn’t gone too low, but it may be that he needs a smidge less insulin to level out. The prozinc guys, Rachel, Djamila and others will be better able to help you with that.

Yeah he's done a bit better today. LOL. Thanks. I posted over there too, just waiting on someone to get back with me. I was thinking I might need to drop the insulin alittle too.
