Hopefully the dust will clear today and we can see some better numbers and what this dose is really doing.

I think I have found Asia's new food: Rad Cat, she loves it and I've never seen get excited like this for food. Civvie, Toki, won't touch it, even with the chicken powder on top! Toki is fixated on the Stella & Chewies freeze dried chicken right now. It can't last because as soon as the recipe change reaches the lot of freeze dried, that won't be an option for her either (switching food because both of them refuse to eat the new S&C formula which now contains dandelion greens). Ugh. S&C frozen/freeze dried raw is all Toki has eaten her whole life, so it may be a tricky transition. :banghead:

The good thing is you know it got her to 68 and many hours in green. Today's only the 3rd cycle after those greens but paws crossed she'll be heading down easy today.

Glad she like the Radcat and good luck with transitioning Toki.

That's great she saw so much green the other night. I hope she comes down soon from the bounce.

That's great news Asia likes the new food. Toki sounds like my Keena, who does not like food changes. :(

Looks like she's heading down. :)
Glad Asia found a food she likes. My Beenie and my older civvie ate the same thing for years. I adopt a younger civvie and he changes his mind all the time what he likes:facepalm: Luckily he's pretty into FF flaked varieties currently.

Hoping for some better numbers soon! So glad she likes the food!! RadCat is one I wanted to try with Darwin - he is also very difficult to switch foods on, but I so want to get him on a raw diet!

It's only been since last night, but Asia is so happy with this food, she's following me around and sharking near the food bowls meowing at me for more...who is this cat?! She seems extra happy and the food is the only major change. You should try it.

Anyone with more experience seen this pattern before? I'm trying not to stress unnecessarily and let my mind wander to insulin resistance and the like. But it seems to me, based on the limited data I have, most time there is a dose increase, it seems to produce decent numbers in the first or second cycle, then no dice? Is that typical of anything? Is it a fluke that it looks good for a cycle or two? Sad to see she peaked early (again) today. The major trend I see looking at her spreadsheet as a whole: pink is her favorite color and she seems determined to hang out in the kidney danger zone. :(

She's still very new to insulin and remember it's a hormone, not a drug like other medications. Her body is use to the higher floors in combo of a bounce from spending many hours in green. Give her the 6-8 cycles from those greens to see if she can get back there. If not, increase the dose again. This is a frustrating dance and takes more patience then you ever knew you were capable of having.

That's reassuring, I'm not ready to call it quits for this dose and I'm patient, or accepting rather (because what other choice do I have)...but it's just so disappointing after seeing a run of greens. So it's relatively "normal" for a dose increase to look good for a cycle or two and then no longer? I know this dose could still work out, but she has done this a couple times already so I'm dealing with the possibility that it's history repeating. Short history, I know, kidney damaging history none the less.

Actually "dose gone stale" is associated with IAA or insulin auto antibododies. I know, I coined the phrase. Having said that, it's not uncommon for numbers to wobble around a lot during a bounce. Let's see where she is when the bounce is over. Asia is still on a relatively low dose, not time to worry yet.
