So Rusty came down from his "fur shot" of the other day, and is juggling his numbers. I simply can't measure this tiny dose! Today I was going to experiment with the other syringe brands, but I didn't have time. Tomorrow for sure (we're supposed to have lots of rain, so it will be a good time to work indoors). Today we finished up the lawn and did other odds and ends.
Rusty had a pretty good day. I am trying him on the new Hounds & Gatos 98% Turkey & Turkey liver tonight. So far he's eating it. Interestingly, after I found those cans of Wellness in the City last week, he no longer cares for it!! :cat: It's a good thing I can't order a case!!!:p

Going downstairs now to hold Rusty's bowl. bbl,

I've been seeing more cans around here too. Wonder if they are using old labels on new product. At least you have something he'll eat (antijinx).

Interesting theory. Anything is possible. But in this case the cans themselves have "best by" dates of 2018, so they probably are the real old formula. Maybe the food has been in the cans too long.
Your weather for the regatta sounded challenging!
How are your parents doing? Is your mom home yet?

Thanks for asking. DM is now in the rehab floor of the hospital. She is walking fine with a walker, still needs a little help with transferring to bed/chair/standing. She is getting PT daily - yesterday included making a cup of tea. :) I can tell she's feeling better, as she's charging through reading books now. We have no "go home" date yet, though one OT mentioned Halloween as a possibility. DF will be glad to see her. We thought about taking him to see her, but it would be quite a bit of work.

The most challenging part of the changing weather was figuring out what to wear.:p You row up the course to the start, then hang around waiting for all the rest of the boats to arrive before the race starts. Which can be miserable in rain and wind. Putting on layers for the wait and taking off layers just before the start is called.

I had just got Boomer to eat the H&G chicken (after storing it in the "rejected cans" cupboard for quite a few months) and when I bought more they were the chicken & liver. Boomer wasn't impressed
The foods issue is enough to drive us Beans crazy!

And here I am worried about eyeballing a .25, sounds easy by comparison! Hope you figure something out. Sure wish they made a more microdose type of syringe for cats.

Looking good, Rusty! :cat:

Rusty liked the Chicken & Liver much better than the old Chicken. But he didn't like the Turkey & Liver at all. I never had the old Turkey, so no comparison there. I still have to try the new can of "Game Birds". It has duck, grouse, and quail. We'll see! :cat:

I actually dreamed last night that I mailed you the balance of my old Wellness turkey stockpile! I have tried a few options for James now that the old Wellness is gone, and he seems to like Rawz chicken. He also likes Fancy Feast but I'm looking for something lower in phosphorus. Rusty likes to keep you guessing!
