I definitely got to get more readings at night. From what I do have, it seems like the higher the pmps, the lower she'll go in the +3 to +5 area, whereas the pmps that are blue, the bg goes up in that same range.

I love the picture of George!! Omg, adorable!!
George thanks you.

Nice to see he headed back to blue in the pm

Yes I'd try to always get at least a before bed test.

Yes this is what we usually notice with Lantus in our kitties, if you are starting off with a higher PS, the drops can be quite steep at onset, counter intuitively, with low PS they often don't drop as fast.
That said I always find it helpful to not look at a number in isolation, but look for waves of action in preceding cycles.

If a PS is falling with respect to the earlier cycle then that can often be a signal that the following cycle can be active and may require extra attention, be that in the food you leave out or closer monitoring.

So, for example
If you are faced with a PS of 151, but when you look at the preceding cycle you see PS 350; +5 250 then that is starting to look like a falling number at PS, it may still be ok to shoot, but at the back of my mind I would be thinking that the next cycle could well be active, so I might want to grab a +1+2 to see if kitty will signal his/her intentions, if those numbers were still dropping, that's the heads up to pay attention.

Take that 151 PS but in a different scenario, PS in the previous cycle of 160 +5 100, from that we can see that the numbers are possibly rising as a consequence of the effect of the insulin subsiding. In this scenario the BG is rising and will likely continue to rise until insulin onsets around +2, aided further by the fact food will bump up the BG too, before the new shot onsets.

I used to like getting a +10 or +11, as that would let me see if the numbers were truly rising/falling, or indeed if the numbers were flat at the end of the cycle.
In the early days George was flat and blue (or flat low yellow) in the early days as he approached PS, then his cycles, would, more often than not be active, and if he was truly dropping, I would hold on to my hat! However if he was truly on the way up coming into PS, it often signaled a bounce starting, and a pokie break.

George thanks you.

Wow! Well said! Thank u again for helping me. I will definitely have to read this several times +, to get a full understanding. Sometimes I wish I could talk to someone personally like on the phone when I have questions. I just feel like I could gain much more ground that way. This truly is quite a journey I must admit, but in a weird kind of way it makes my relationship with Govi extremely closer then I could have imagined.
