I think these numbers are directly related to food. I tried the Organix again. I don't think it is the carbs but that it upsets his tummy. He took encouragement to eat last night and didn't eat his +7.5 snack. I threw the last batch away and gave him straight Fowl Ball for this morning cycles. I had suspected this may have been the case but before I gave up completely on the Organix I wanted to try it one more time.

Tonight is back to the regular mixture of FB and Soulistic mixture. I will add an additional drop of insulin if his PS numbers are still high tonight.

I am busy. I am working with a group of locals trying to help a disabled vet that had his house completely destroyed by the Harvey flood waters. He lost everything (including his car). Some scab company came in and gutted his house and stole anything left of value. He is living out of an ice chest and has no AC (etc., etc., etc.) Just a bad situation all the way around. I spent almost all day yesterday trying to coordinate help for him (while trying to get my regular job done). It is looking better after last night and hopefully we have a couple of crews on their way to help him. He has to walk with a walker and was having to try and get upstairs to sleep because there is nothing down stairs. I wish I could do more but with work and Gizmo I just don't but am doing what I can. If you pray, say one for this situation and that we can get things taken care of for this hero.

I hope the switch in food helps Gizmo get back on track.

That is horrible that people will take advantage of innocent victims like that. I hope the man gets the help he needs soon. Sending prayers.

Good luck with the food switch and the drop more of insulin for Gizmo. Hope that brings him down to greens.

Lizzie, you are a wonderful bean to being helping as you are. If everyone did something, things could be improved. So much destruction everywhere! It is heart wrenching. It seems like a drop in the bucket with what one person can do but, with lots of drops , the bucket will get filled. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hope G get's back to greens with the food change.

It's horrible the things people do to each other sometimes. Thank goodness for folks like you! Hope things turn around quickly for the veteran.

That's so wonderful of you to help out. I still can't wrap my head around how people can do that to another human being let alone a disabled vet.
Sending tons of prayers:bighug:

Hope Gizmo gets back on track with the food switch;)

Lizzie, I know an aid group from here, Convoy of Hope, stays in areas for the long haul. Just an idea if someone could get ahold of them I’m sure they would give added help :):bighug:. Big hugs and thanks to you and all helping out this wonderful veteran .

Thank you.

I am so discouraged. The whole thing has become a social media popularity contest. I had contractors, electricians and a gentleman that works for Vets (like a liaison) lined up to help. They had their crews on stand by and I can't get the two contacts I have for the Vet to give me accurate information. I have tried calling, texting, emailing. The phone number they gave me for they Vet is "non-working" (at the moment) and their seems to be bickering going on - on who will get "credit" - I give a rats @$$ about all that - I just want to get the guy some help. Stupid people make me crazy. I did pass the Vets phone # and address on to the contractor and liaison so something may still happen there but if no one can get a hold of him I don't hold out much hope. Such a sad, sad situation.

nice drop from that yellow
I am wondering how low he got this morning and if that 201 was a bounce. 190 to 126 in 2 hours is a big drop too. I am going to wait and get a +4.5 and see where he is at. I hope he keeps working his way back down and I am getting rid of the Organix. :p

Oh I do relate, Lizzie ! I want to scream “ just do what is right !!!” , especially when what is right is so very obvious . Prayers that this situation will turn around very quickly :bighug: God bless you for all ur love and effort :bighug:

Organix Chicken is my go-to right now on top of the raw, sorry to hear Gizmo isn't reacting well to it.
I think it upsets his tummy not too bad but after 3-4 cycles he turns up his nose and his numbers creep up. Only thing I can come up with.

Wish you were closer, I would give you about 1/2 case.

That is so frustrating about the vet situation. Hoping things work out soon and people just help for the sake of helping others.

Glad Gizmo is coming back down without the organix. Just slow down a bit, Gizmo!

Yep. And it doesn't take much. I was wondering about you friend (hair dresser) in PR. Have you heard anything?
She just texted me yesterday and she arrived in Florida around 6 pm and had a layover and was to return to our area at 1 AM. While she was in PR she texted me once to let me know she was okay and that she had a lot of stories to tell me. I can't wait to see her and to give her a big hug. I am so proud of her to go into the situation, get her parents out and willingly stay to help others. Her heart is pure gold.
