My Baby wasn’t eating much & vomiting/loose stool yesterday. I cked her bg #’s & they were 98 last night. No shot. Checked again this am & so far 99 & then 89 . She has not had any insulin since yesterday morning? What’s up? anyone have any clue? Thank you in advance! Appreciate everyone’s help & guidance! #blessed

Hi, those are lovely 'normal' blood glucose numbers. ....Have you been hometesting long? Do you have any other test results for Baby Girl Kitty?
Are you aware that cats can go into 'remission' and cease to need insulin...?

The vomiting and loose stool may be unrelated to her blood glucose. I see that she had pancreatitis on diagnosis... Just wondering if that is a possibility; although, to be honest, vomiting and loose stool can be caused by a lot of things, many of them very benign...
How is her appetite now?

Today is a little better & just a loose bm. We just started on prozinc on Tuesday. Diagnosed 4 weeks ago, was on Novolin N & up & down all over. ? I’ll do test again before any more insulin & no have not set up anything yet as far as spreadsheet. I am not testing regularly, I should but I’m fearful. She was up to 400 just 2 weeks ago...
 
Yes a little more appetite today. I’m letting her outside to roam (no panic, fenced in- blind & wont climb anymore). Loves it! I just hate to think she’s in pain from pancreatitis or anything else. Wondering if I need more cerenia for tummy. They say it helps the pain but ...who knows. Thank you both!
 
I’m glad she’s doing better and enjoying being out. Hope her appetite improves. If you think she will need the meds and you’re out, you may want to pick some up before the weekend.
 
No I haven’t used it. I believe cerenia is for nausea, and you may ask for an appetite stimulant such as cyproheptadine too. I’ll see if I can find a member with experience with pancreatitis to give you more info.
 
She hides from me the rest of the day, has started biting again & she remembers for days. Always been a little feral & became hard to handle when she lost her eyes. I would be too! :)) I have severe anxiety. I’m getting better & I must be calm for her sake.

Try putting a bit of neosporin ointment with pain relief on the ears.
 
One thing to try is desensitization. Take her to the spot you test her in, but don’t test her, just pet and give treats. Do that several times a day and it will help both of you relax. Also try singing softly, it helps with relaxing too.
 
Ok I’ll try doing that. Great idea. I do sing to keep my nerves in check but I think it calms her more if I talk softly & encourage her. (It’s ok, mamas not going to hurt you etc.) Funny that you told me to sing- it does help!
 
When trying the desensitization, start with just singing or talking and pets and treats, and do it as often as you can. Gradually add an ear rub, rice sock (if you use one) and soon you can add the poke. Take a deep breath and remember you are doing this to help Baby, not hurt her.
