Okay, something is definitely going on with Squallie's BG. His numbers are definitely rising, more each day. I opened a new Lantus pen, got new syringes, and bought new cases of food all at about the same time, so it makes it hard to pinpoint if it's him, or one of those other factors, but his BG is creeping up, without a doubt. I fattened up his dose this morning, hopefully that will check the upward momentum, but I'm dubious. Tonight will be a no-shot night, too, because I won't get home until at least 2 hours past PM shot-time; couldn't happen at a worse time!:( :banghead::nailbiting::arghh::arghh::arghh:

Prayers and healing vines for all who need them.

I just see a wee higher blues here and there otherwise his nadirs are still in the 50's/60's, mostly green cycles and a 40 just 6 cycles ago. Maybe he just had a wild dream last night. Keep it low for mama bean little man.
I hope that's all it is! Every time something like this happens, I'm terrified we're going back to the wild swings and number-chasing of the bad ol' Vetsulin days! :nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:

Poor Squallie has a bad eye! I had noticed it was tearing up a bit, a couple of days ago, so I've been watching it and it seemed to be okay until this afternoon. Now it is tearing a lot and the lids look red and puffy. He doesn't want me to touch that side of his head at all! He has a vetty visit scheduled for tomorrow morning, poor boy.I feel so bad for him.

So hard to know what goes on with these precious felines! Coral goes through periods of the "itches," (I always think it is food allergy) red eyes, (could it be the change in the seasons?) not wanting to eat, (oh, oh is her BG going up?). Who knows? Best to you on your vetty meeting, thinking of you. Best and healing to those in need, Kathe and "The Girls!"

Oh Squallie, I so hope you eye is okay. Lucy good luck with visit tomorrow. Hang in there. Maybe is just some dirt that is bothering him.

Thanks, Kathe @ MaineLove and Paula @Woodsywife, I hope it's not anything serious, but I'm afraid he has an infection because that side of his face is puffy and he doesn't want me to touch him on that side of his head, he doesn't even want me to test his ear on that side, poor baby. I'll let you know what the vet says when we get home tomorrow. Please keep him in your prayers!

Hope he feels better and whatever he has going on in that eye is an easy fix. Maybe a round of AB and presto he'll be all better and you may see some lower blues. Overall his numbers look really good.

Sending prayers for Squallie. I hope it's nothing serious. Sorry no one answered your question about DKA. I'd think as long as he's eating, and it's only one shot he's missing, he'd be okay. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks, Michelle, I'm hoping the AB eyedrops take care of it and he gets back to good numbers! :bighug:

Thanks, Carla! I went ahead and gave him a late shot last night - no point in taking any risks. I can have him back to his normal schedule by Monday; it's just a pain for my brain trying to work the times backwards, lol, but it's do-able. :):bighug:
