? Question regarding Lantus vials vs pens ??

I have been using Lantus from vials but a friend gave me a sealed box of pens and the directions say to leave out of the refrigerator after opening. Does this make sense ??
I am used to keeping all insulin refrigerated. What do y'all do ??

The only reason they don't want the pens refrigerated is because it can cause problems with the
"dial a dose" mechanism

Since we use regular insulin syringes and draw the insulin out of the pens instead of using the special pen needles, you keep them refrigerated
