Cole has been hovering around the water and food bowl all day. Drinking a lot of water and peeing. He just threw up his early dinner feeding. Should I be worried? Sorry for being such a pest on this board. I'm just scared to death for him. He has also lost a lot of weight and very lathargic today.

Do you know why he might have Vomited? Did he eat really Quickly? Hairball? Seem nauseated?

Yes have ketone sticks. His pancreatitis test came back negative but vet said only 40-60 percent accurate..

I put down fresh dry food (the kind he usually eats) and he is eating it now. Let's hope it stays down. He seems to be better now. Had fed him a mixture of low carb wet with his regular Blue Buffalo h/f with warm water in it. Maybe that didn't agree with him. He is still eating on the dry. Should I wait about 30 minutes and give him .75 units?

Do you know which pancreatitis test was done? If it was the SNAP test it’s just gives a positive or negative so you don’t know if it’s borderline. If the SpecfPL it’s more accurate.

I am glad he's eating. That sounds like a plan. You don't have to wait a full 30 min unless you're worried about him throwing up again.

Do not know which test but will find out next week. The vet just said it's negative but not very accurate. Then why give test?!!

I want to wait a few minutes to make sure his food stays down. What do u do if u give insulin and he then decides to throw up?! Always looking to be one step ahead of this thing. Thanks so much for answering me. I know I feel like such a pest.

Really there's not much you can do. I would imagine if that happened to me I would wait a while and offer a small amount of food. Id keep testing to make sure the numbers aren't dropping too hard and if the cat still refused to eat but was dropping too low I would get the honey ready just in case.
