Hi Everyone,
Missed yesterday completely. The weather was good, so we went down to close up Camp Stu. Our friend/caretaker had already taken out the water for the winter, so even though the weather is incredibly hot for this time of year, we couldn't have stayed there. So we brought back a couple of canoes, cleaned out the 'fridge, and took a load of stuff to the landfill. Rusty stayed home because there wouldn't have been room for him to ride in the car (a bike was in the back). He managed to eat some of the fuds left for him.
Rusty's appetite has really improved. He likes RAWZ turkey a lot. Thank goodness I found something he will eat (anti jinx). His breathing isn't great in the hot, hot weather pattern we are in, but it is his "old" congestion, not the awful sounds he produced with pneumonia.
We are looking forward to a favorite paddle tomorrow with our group. Hot, humid weather is predicted. But it has cooled off this evening, so if we leave the house closed against the heat tomorrow, and leave the fans on, Rusty will be OK. Weather is supposed to break by Thursday. It's all hurricane-related.
