I just found out my old man has diabetes and a bad uti. We're taking steps to get him better, but I was wondering about the uti.
The vet gave him a shot of antibiotics, but didn't prescribe anything more in that regards. He's also going to be on insulin. So I'm wondering if the uti will clear up once we get his glucose in check.

What a cute picture! Welcome. The shot was probably Convenia, and it should take care of the UTI. Mia had a UTI at diagnosis and was given a shot. In two weeks, when we had our follow-up visit, the UTI was gone.
