Good morning!
AMPS 360 shooting 2.5u
Hoping my boy decides to work the juice again soon!

Boomer ate most of his overnight fuds but left some of his fowl ball at +6.
Allen had to fast overnight; he receives his meds this morning and has an appt with Dr Larry for an ionized calcium test

Yesterday morning's walk was a great success! As I was headed towards the area where the green herons hang out, my paths literally crossed with a hawk. He crossed no more than 10 feet in front of me and landed awkwardly in a nearby tree (I believe I startled him as much as he startled me). I turned and took a shot not knowing whether my camera settings would suffice or not....no time to think it through. Got the shot...will likely post this one tomorrow! I also found 2 green herons and a bit later a bunch of yellow finches. But today's shot....since I had headed over there for this specifically.....is a green heron. Enjoy!

Look at that bird posing for the camera! ...and I can't wait to see a picture of the hawk.

Vetty vines for Allen.... and I hope that Boomer will get off the trampoline today.

That bird needs to go on a diet:p:p Beautiful photo once again :) Lots of vetty vines for Allen with good results. Booms...aren't you getting tired of playing on the trampoline? The beach and lagoon are much more relaxing buddy.

Back from the vetty bean. Allen's official weight 4.95kg so 10.91 lbs. which is even less than what my scale was indicating :( I don't know how to stop this weight loss; he eats lots!
Blood/urine work done this time along with the ionized calcium. Will have some results tomorrow but the ionized calcium takes a week.

Is it a good weight for him even if less? Moo is down to 11.1 oz. She was 12.2 oz this time last year but this is a much better weight for her. No more dry in the house. I do hope she can now maintain the 11 lbs and not really loose anymore as vetty is happy with where she is now. Does Allen like chicken? Maybe a few extra chicken treats here and there.

No, Allen is too skinny. And he's losing weight too fast. He will eat chicken, would that help?

I couldn't sign off without checking in on Boomer et al. Boomer stop the bouncing dude. Get back to business. The lagoon duty is a bit lacking right now. You and Bubba are needed there.

About Allen, I am sure he has been checked for Hyper T right? Could you add a little chicken skin in his food to help fatten him up?

I was thinking Hyper T, too, but I seem to recall that you had him tested for that. Is he over-grooming? That's another symptom of Hyper T. I hope the vetty visit will provide some answers. How old is Allen? Rusty keeps losing weight, but he has poor appetite and is pretty old (ca. 18 years); his bloodwork is perfect.

Yo Deputy Boomer, if you're going to stay up in the woods, we'll have to get you a pair of high-powered binoculars!

@Bobbie And Bubba @Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) unless the Hyper T test is part of the regular b/w then no he hasn't been tested for it. I will look into it. We should have some b/w results tomorrow; it could be the CKD progressing.

ETA: Looking up the clinical signs now. Weight loss.....definitely. Increased appetite....not really he's always liked to graze and he still likes to graze. Hyperactivity.....nope. Hair loss and unkempt coat....well he does lose a lot of hair but he always has but no unkempt coat. Behaviour changes....nope. Heat intolerance....no. Increased thirst....he's always drank a lot of water but less since he's been switched to canned food. Diarrhea....no. Vomiting....yes he does. Increased heart rate.....no

No overgrooming. No he hasn't been tested (unless it's part of the normal b/w but I don't think it is). He is 14 years old.
