Good mornin':coffee:

Well thought I earned a reduction today but turned out to be a wonky test strip:banghead:. Starting the day out blue which is a step in the right color direction:)

Chin scritches to all the kitties

Morning Beenie, scritches received on our end. Blues are good right? Titan has them on his Christmas wish list.
:)Yes I was always told to shoot for the healing blues and greens. Titan has been such a good boy I'm sure he'll get an early Christmas present:p

I feel guilty for going with 7 U as the new dose on 9/8. Did I screw things up:(
Never regret erring on the side of caution with a kitty who has multiple high dose conditions.

First things first...Do you have solution to check if your meter needs recalibration? Check your meter and a few strips.

eta- also check strip expiration date

Ok. You're right

No how do I make a solution to check? I just checked the Relion Micro box. I have to order the control solution, Will do that now
also check strip expiration date
Checked, they expire 7-31-2018

I agree with Sandy, caution is key with all that Beenie has going on. Not sure about the 45 this morning. Doodles was 78% IAA only and had pulled the 300 to 30 trick more then once. Sometimes it's hard to say "what's going on" especially with an Acro/ IAA/ Carbergoline kitty. Beenie did see a nice stretch of green 4 cycles ago so just keep you're chin up and follow the protocol. They can wobble around a bit as mentioned yesterday before they decide to get back to business. I'd give him 3-4 more cycles to shake things out before deciding on any dose changes.

Another way to check your meter and strips is by testing yourself :p Many times I thought it was the meter but it was always the cat or maybe a bad test:rolleyes:

Thanks Karen! I called Walmart and they will ship me a control solution but to allow 7-14 days to arrive:arghh:

So I just went on to Walmart's website and ordered another meter so I have a back up and it will be here on Thursday. That way that will be ruled out, a meter that needs calibration. I'm going to give myself a pokey now and see what it reads:p

I just put on my patience pants. I was just worried that I screwed up with going with the 7 U and she got all thrown off because of it. Safety is priority. I'm jut not used to these big fluctuations and wasn't sure if there was some other "meaning" that I wasn't aware of.

I wish I was just dealing with FD and not everything else too:blackeye:

Thanks:bighug:

Sorry I was away, but you got good answers to your question.

You can rule out meter and strip errors, but you can't predict what Beenie is going to do. With 2 high dose conditions and the cabergoline thrown in there, it is always prudent to err on the side of caution. When you look back just over a month ago there is a vast difference in the numbers so a few days of "setbacks" is not to be worried over. :bighug::bighug:

Thanks Mary Ann. Today is just an all around wacky numbers day! I'm not worried anymore. I would lose my mind if I didn't have the support here:bighug:

Fun fact about IAA kitties, sometimes the action is delayed due to the antibodies, including bounces. The worst part of Neko's bounce was always three cycles after the "low".

Work it Beenie, lets see what you can do. A little trial and error, it's all new to everyone. Could be the first week related to IAA breaking, or just wonky numbers. How fast it happened for Marvin maybe just a lucky kitty. I think if it were me, I may go up to 10u, just in case. Yellow are still good, see what happens tonight and morning. Sending Positive thoughts your way..... Head butt from Marvin

Wendy is correct. As with all things IAA, 'sometimes' they go one way, sometimes another.

Looks like a High Dose Cha-cha to me:cool:
Forward and back- one, two cha-cha-cha, three four cha-cha-cha ...
Just about when you are getting into the rhythm of things - the dance can change into a dramatic Tango...
Follow her lead the best you can, keeping safety front of mind.

Wow Sandy thanks. That visual helps so much. Definitely dramatic in the beginning with the ups and downs in dose.
