:woot:Wow what a night!! Great numbers Gizmo!!

I would've taken the reduction too, 71 on AT is close enough. While there could still be depot at play even from the 7u, looks like it would be nice if you could catch up on some sleep.

Look at those lovely greens!! :cool: You're probably a little tired, but great job making sure he was safe. Surf safely Gizmo!
I've learned to operate on minimal sleep. Lol
Nice greens for Gizmo last night. I hope he keeps surfing today.
No such luck. I hope it's just a bounce.
Beautiful cycle last night! Hope you get a nap today. :bighug:
No naps today. Surprisingly I'm not that tired.

Hoping the reduction holds, but PMPS is looking a bit scary.

PMPS = 330:arghh:
Not sure if this is a bounce or the result of so many back to back reductions. I guess time shall tell.

Gizmo is positive for acro. The range is 12-92 and Gizmo is 301. :arghh: But kinda saw that coming. The vet is willing to prescribe cabergoline and is looking into it. Thanks to everyone who encouraged us to get the testing done. Now I at least feel like we have a chance to get the acro under control. So we have to focus on the positive and keep on pushing on towards getting Gizmo better. The insulin resistance results are not back yet. If anyone could get me any info on starting the cabergoline, I would greatly appreciate it.

So sorry you just got this DX. At least we have such great resources hear with peeps with the experience with the cabergoline. Wishing you lots of success. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks. I'm bummed, but not that upset because I feel like I still have hope and a positive plan of action. I don't know where we would be without the people on this board. But I have a feeling it wouldn't be very good and definitely wouldn't be treating his acro (because we wouldn't even know acro exsisted).

I'm sorry, it's not the news you wanted, but like you said, not altogether unexpected. I'm glad the vet is willing to work with you in getting Gizmo the cabergoline, and you have all the support in the world here, we'll be right with you along the way :bighug::bighug:

Sorry about the diagnosis. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: You have lots of support here. Ask anything. I know I went into research mode on the diagnosis. But at least it gives you a direction.

Give Gizmo some scritches from me. He is the same sweet cat he was before the diagnosis,

Looks like a the bounce, you are overdue for some sleep

Thanks. I feel like this vet has been a godsend. When he called today with the results and asked about the curve for 6 units (we were supposed to drop him from 8 units to 6 units and get a curve yesterday), my husband explained why we decided not to do it all at once, but instead slowly took him down. He was completely ok with what we did and said it actually made a lot of sense. :woot::) It seems like he understands TR or has researched it because he mentioned waiting at least 3 days before doing the curve because it takes the depot that long to build.

Thanks. I'm so glad for all of the support and information I have learned here. Hoping it is just a bounce ... catching up on sleep sounds good.

:bighug::bighug:

I was really hoping it was just IAA with his coming down in dose and getting into the greens. I think you just need a prescription to get the cabergoline and then get it compounded either online or locally. I don't know if I have seen any reference to dosage. Someone will chime in. Thank G-d there is an option that may work. Fingers crossed. :bighug::bighug:

Positive thoughts that Gizmo will be another success story. :bighug::bighug:

Diamondback Drugs is one of the best compounders in the country IMHO. Gizmo is a good looking Acro kitty and has an awesome bean. Hope the IAA is negative and you get some sleep tonight.

Uggh, so sorry Gizmo has joined the acrocat gang but we kinda knew that was coming. Bronx also tried Cabergoline but I stopped when the SRT was done.

+3 = 179 :woot: what?

He was acting like he does when he drops, so I believe this is an accurate number. I guess he thinks I work well on little to no sleep. :rolleyes:

Thanks. Yep, I expected it and am ready to move forward.

Hi, I am so sorry for the dx too. If you are like me, I was more relieved than upset, cause at least I now understood why. I am glad that you are also looking into cabegoline, if it can help that is great. Marvin is getting lonely :)
