Good morning!
AMPS 382 shooting 2.25u
sigh. I just don't know.

Boomer left some of his overnight fuds and woke me up around +7 to help him eat his +6.
Allen ate very well overnight and finished all his fuds.
It's possible that the antibiotic is upsetting Boomer's tummy a bit; he seems to be having litter box issues and he's dragging his butt on the floor afterwards. We have 3 days of antibiotics left.

On the agenda today: editing (read big sigh here).

Boomer! :(:bighug:

I was looking at his post dental drops as two drops....one the night of the 4th and one the morning of the 5th. And thinking to myself....if he didn't bounce after the one on the 4th why would he bounce after the one on the 5th.
I think I should have looked at it as one drop that started the evening of the 4th and continued for most of the first cycle on the 5th. And then the bounce started last night.

Looks like a bounce to me. He will get used to being back in lower numbers again.

Worth a call into the vet to see if you should stop the AB. They may want to switch it to another one if causing GI upset or they might say just discontinue and he has been on long enough.

Hope the editing goes well. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

He's had a NS plus 3 different doses in the past 5.5 days which can also cause wonky numbers. Are you giving a probiotic while on the antibiotic? That may help with the tummy issues. Before his dental it looked like he was due for an increase so wouldn't be surprised if you'll need to do one soon. Because of the blues and different doses I would give him 10 cycles on this dose before doing so. Lots of vines and prayers things start to level out and he gets back to working the juice soon. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I was actually speaking to the vet tech yesterday and she told me to make sure to finish the antibiotic (and she knows that Boomer was on an antibiotic prior to the dental). But....DH cleaned the litter and he said if there was a poop in there it must have been quite small. But he did drag his bum across the floor last night. So perhaps it's the opposite of what I was thinking and he's a bit constipated.

I was planning on giving him more than the 6 cycles only because if he is bouncing I want to give him time to clear it.
I'm so very frustrated.

TR protocol says 6-10 cycles before increasing. You don't need to wait for the bounce to clear before increasing. You just don't want to increase as the bounce is clearing. I would increase Friday if you don't see any green before then. If he sticks to schedule, bounce clearing should be tomorrow or tomorrow night.

Rusty has been on Convenia antibiotic for 21 days so far. I am giving him 1/2 capsule of RenewLife Extra Care Ultimate Flora Probiotic in one of his servings of food every day (his +9 "snack"). It is tasteless and he is eating it. We have had no problems with elimination.

I sure hope Deputy Boomer will get back to his better numbers soon. Sending more vines.
