Good Morning L & L ~

A little higher start. I was excited that with the help of crushed up YA food on his raw food last night, he was eating with gusto again. Then this morning shortly after breakfast, was another diarrhea episode, the first one in 4 days. Not sure if it is from the increased amount of YA or if he is developing a sensitivity to either turkey or chicken. From what I am reading online, chicken is usually more of an issue. Or just stress. Some detective work is in order.

I do have a 7 day course of metronidazole and toying with the idea of starting it to calm down things.

Vines to all Beans and Kitties in need.

Good morn Bobbie. How do you crush the YA? When I tried to do it, it just ended up as mush since there's some moisture in it.

As of +4 I will not give chicken for a while and see what happens. It could be the common denominator for the diarrhea, not sure. From what I am reading chicken has more fat and fat further irritates the system.

He still doesn't want to eat with the help of Florti=flora or crushed YA which has chicken in it......so I think I will favor the Florti flora for a bit to keep him eating.

Momma is tried of this game. :banghead:

Hope Bubba's belly feels better soon:bighug:

I see green.:D

Hmm ... I wonder if chicken is the problem in our household also. They are fine with mixed grill (chicken and turkey), but seem get diarrhea on just chicken flavors. :(

From what I am reading, chicken is a big culprit for GI upsets in cats. I hope just having him eat turkey for a while will settle things down.

Have you tried S. boullardi lately? Sending tummy settling vines.:bighug:
Yes, I am adding a 1/2 capsule twice a day. Today at +8 he would not eat the raw turkey so I popped open jar of turkey babyfood (beechnut) and he came running and lapped it up happily sitting and waiting for more. Doesn't that sound like a food aversion to his raw food? I am going to continue with the baby food (turkey) for a few days adding SEB syrup, S. Boullardi, pumpkin twice a day and EZ complete supplements.

Thanks for the vines y'all!

PM 136 Will not eat raw turkey even with it iced with turkey baby food. Momma gave him a jar of turkey baby food and he ate it happily. :banghead: This can get very expensive to get enough calories into him with baby food. Maybe after a few days of exclusively baby food, I can sneak some raw into it.

I gave him an increase to 1 unit tonight as he is barely getting into the greens at nadir and not staying long. Let's hope he keeps eating the baby food and I don't regret the decision.
