I increased back to 9 units this morning and Gizmo has responded wonderfully (not just his numbers, but overall he seems to be feeling really good).

There was miscommunication between myself and my husband who spoke with the vet office. My husband didn't know I already increased and called to see if it was alright to increase back to 9 units (I thought the vet already said if the reduction didn't work that we could take him right back up. I wanted him to call and just let them know the reduction didn't work and that I increased him back to 9 units.) The vet is worried about doing that because he was in the 70s on that dose. A different vet at the practice said to increase Gizmo to 8 units and that our vet will call tomorrow morning. I'm worried about switching his dose again tonight, so I'm probably just going to keep him at the 9 units until i talk with the vet tomorrow.

I haven't heard anything about the acro results. The receptionist checked when my husband was talking to her and nothing at that time.

It's good to hear he is feeling so good. Doesn't it make you so happy? Gizmo's numbers are looking fabulous :D.

I think vets worry that the average person (new, not testing) won't know how to handle or keep them safe. The vet will come around once he sees you know what you are doing (hopefully). Mine did.

. Yes, I am so happy he went right back to good numbers. I was really worried that we might have messed up. Just hoping he doesn't bounce to high or to long. He was doing pretty could with bounces also.

When they first said no to the increase, my husband explain how we are prepared for a hypo and that we want him to go into remission so we need the low numbers to get him there.

Gizmo likes this dose. :D

I got the IAA results on a Saturday and the acro results on a Sunday. My vet then worked Thursday to Sunday, so it didn't have to do with getting results from the vet on this end. Waiting is hard. :bighug:

. He sure does. I just have to convince the vet tomorrow.

Hmm ... the paper for the acro said results on Friday, so I just assumed that I would have them today. The test day is wed and Gizmo's sample was supposed to be there Tuesday. Who knows, hopefully soon. In the meantime, I really like how Gizmo feels in these numbers!:D:cool:

Gizmo...you've been holding out on those good numbers, I guess Gizmo knows what his best dose really is ;), good for you in following the vet's request, but getting Gizmo back on his right dose, like you suspected anyway.

+5 = 94
I can't believe this!:D
I'm debating on staying up or getting an hour or two of sleep and then rechecking. Hope Maverick is still behaving.
Omg that's stellar! Way to go Gizmo! I'll stay up, if you stay up :p (though I do believe you are at least one ahead of me!) Mav's +4 is due in 15 mins. :D
