So, this is not the first time. My skinny-minny does not have a lot of room for error, nor a lot to pinch, and I have just given her shot but petted her and it was wet at injection site. I'm guessing I went clear through the "tent" I made. Shorter needles or different technique? I am using 1/2" 29 gauge. I won't try to re-shoot and it's all the more upsetting as she had a good 259 AMPS, and was looking like she was getting headed in the right direction after 600s. :(

Fur shots are always frustrating especially when the numbers are starting to look better

I use the 8mm length and find that I get less furshots with them than with the 1/2 inch. I shoot at more of a 45 degree angle so there is less chance of the needle going through.

8mm looks like a better size. At the 45 degree angle, do you ever get in the muscle?

I have never hit muscle. I inject in the flank/abdomen area and my girlie does not have a lot of loose skin but with the shorter needle it doesn't seem to be a problem. I was using 6mm for awhile but I found them just a bit too short.
