Nice! Trying to catch up... why the 2U reduction?
Gizmo's new vet was worried that he might be getting to much insulin and wanted us to try going back to 7 units for a few days. At first it looked really good, but his numbers seem to be higher again (although he hit low blues last night, so I really don't know). We really don't expect this to work, but didn't want to risk alienating another vet (especially this one since we really like him). So figured we would try it for a few days to see what happens. I'm going to see how tonight goes and probably talk to the vet tomorrow to let him know it how it is going on the reduced dose. We also should get the acro results tomorrow.

I think he might have been running off of his depot, during the first several measurements. But I'm with you on keeping the vet you like!

Looks like you are starting to see what 7 units can do. It takes 4-6 cycles for the depot to deplete, more with larger doses. It would be interesting to hear what the new vet thinks is a good nadir. Personally, I like numbers under renal threshold as much as possible.

Paws crossed on results tomorrow.

I completely understand that. Did you show the new vet Gizmo's SS? If not, I would take it with you (somehow). Anxious to see what the test results are. Really glad you like the new vet. I sure hope he will work with you.

I sure am out of the loop. I didn't even realize you had gotten the tests done. :(

Yes, the vet saw his spreadsheet and even commented that they didn't need to run their normal tests because I already have such great data! :) I didn't fully explain our dosing method because I was still trying to get an understanding of how the visit was going to go. I wish I would have explain and showed more about how we increased, but oh well. We went to the new vet on Monday morning. He sent the bloodwork overnight to msu. He looked over all of his previous bloodwork and discussed some of our questions with us. He spent a lot of time and was willing to listen to all I have already researched about. I felt like a huge weight was lifted. even Gizmo was very relaxed while there (although I'm sure it was the feliway spray, but I like to think he just liked the new place - lol).

This is fantastic! I am so happy for you (and Gizmo). Will really try to look at your condo tomorrow through the craziness of work.
