Good morning!
AMPS 358 shooting 2.25u. Yes I know I should be increasing. Dental is on Friday and after the dental we will get back on track.

I was awake at Boomer's PM+6 last night so I got up to test. 225. I was going to get a +9 if I was awake but around that time was the only sleep I got last night:rolleyes:

Boomer ate reasonably well last night but left some of his +6.
Allen had to fast last night, has received his weekly pill, and will eat in a couple of hours.

For the last few weeks I have been giving Boomer chicken pieces in his +9 in an effort to lower his PS numbers. It's really hard to tell when his numbers are so high whether its helping at all....it could be (scares me to think that his PS numbers might be even higher) or it might not be. Today I'm experimenting and I've given him his chicken pieces at +6 and some fowl ball at +9. I want to see if the 0 carbs at +6 allows the insulin to work a bit longer.
I will be away for a while this afternoon getting my hair done but I will make sure DH knows to get a +9.

Glad that the dental is only two days away at this point and crossing fingers and paws that it is the puzzle piece that has been missing to get Boomer's numbers back down.

Just had a conversation with the vet tech that works with the dental surgeon....she actually works with Dr Larry on Fridays and helped with Boomer's dental a few weeks ago. I was very impressed with her; she did seem to know what she was talking about when it comes to FD.
Unfortunately she won't be assisting with this dental because Friday's she is with Dr Larry.
She told us to follow our usual pre-dental routine with Boomer re feeding and shots. This would normally mean that there would be no shot the night before and no shot the day of with his last meal being a half serving at 5:00 am.
But his levels have never been this high pre dental. So I believe I will give him a full shot the night before. I probably will not shoot the morning of the dental. And that's as far as I can plan right now until the dental happens and I see what his levels are like and whether he is eating.
