While we continue to work toward better BG numbers, I just wanted to take a moment to celebrate a little victory that I think might be related to our switch to Lantus and the resulting lower (on average) numbers. After losing weight since her diabetes Dx in Jan (Abby had gone from a normal/slightly scrawny 10 lbs all the way down to 8 lbs!), it seems that she is finally regaining. :cat: I don't have a home scale that is accurate enough to confirm her current weight, but both my husband and I have noticed that she is filling out again. There was a point when I thought that the weight loss would be the end of her, so I'm thankful to see this.

Anyway, yay for the little things!

Good news! Grab onto these little things - they count. :)

That's great! Not such a little victory - it means you're getting her diabetes under control so her body can properly utilize the nutrients in the food. That's a pretty BIG victory! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
