Congratulations on your first yellow! Yes, you can still shoot 6.5 units. Monitor her tonight. It seems like you are getting close to a good dose!! :bighug:

Do I give her 6.5U tonight? What do I do if she drops lower?? SORRY this is the first time in 8 months we have seen yellow So I want to make sure she is alright!! 8/21/17
Yayyy! I know the feeling...

If you're following TR yes. This looks like your last cycle at 6.5 - I believe tomorrow you go up to 7. Hoping others weigh in...

This is from the TR protocol:
INCREASING THE DOSE:
  • Hold the dose for 3 - 5 days (6 - 10 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are less than 200 before increasing the dose by 0.25 unit.
    • if your cat is new to numbers under 200, it is recommended to hold the dose for at least 8-10 cycles before increasing.
    • when your cat starts to see nadirs under 100, hold the dose for at least 10 cycles before increasing.
  • After 3 days (6 consecutive cycles)... if nadirs are greater than 200, but less than 300 increase the dose by 0.25 unit.
  • After 3 days (6 consecutive cycles)... if nadirs are greater than 300 increase the dose by 0.5 unit.

Thank you BUT she just tested at 417!!!!!! for:( her PMPS

that's okay.....:woot:

celebrate :woot: the new color on that chart even if it's brief.....
it proves you are on the right path...:cat:

since pink was making her bounce.... you know yellow is going to do that too.

What a sight for sore eyes! Woohoo! :) I would still increase to 7.0 units tomorrow. Keep increasing every six cycles until you see a blue.

Yep, that's common when they start testing in a range that's lower than what they're used to. As she spends more time with a lower blood glucose level, she'll get used to it and the bounces won't be as high.
